The experiments described in the book are all hardware TTL or CMOS based and could likely be replaced by any atmel or microchip platform today. Heck, I'm reading online of RTL-SDR systems that are starting to deliver abilities beyond the description in this book. The commercial systems presented in the book have long been obsoleted and discontinued.
